Tahun 2012 ini, Microsoft telah menjanjikan akan merilis software perkantoran dan bisnis Microsoft Office generasi terbaru. Adalah Office 15 yang siap melanjutkan tongkat estafet Office versi sebelumnya, Office 2010.

Saat ini Office 15 masih dalam tahap pengembangan dan sepertinya Microsoft akan segera merilis versi beta tak lama lagi, bisa jadi berbarengan dengan versi beta Windows 8.

Pada Kamis (9/2/2012), Microsoft membocorkan tampilan antarmuka Office 15 yang tampak lebih simpel dan bersih dibandingkan dengan versi pendahulunya. Perusahaan software raksasa ini memperlihatkan tampilan Office 15 untuk Word, Excel, PowerPoint, dan OneNote dalam sebuah video yang dipublikasi oleh situs teknologi The Verge .

Pada screenshot di bawah ini, Anda dapat melihat bagaimana Microsoft memasukkan lebih banyak ruang putih dan menggunakan lebih sedikit baris agar penggunanya dapat lebih fokus pada konten.
